| It wasn't just money that motivated Kosuke Fukudome to come to the U.S. Major Leagues. The highly touted outfielder had a wish list of his own and found the right match in the Chicago Cubs. Fukudome and the Cubs agreed to terms on a four-year, $48 million contract through the 2011 season, pending his passing of a physical. The left-handed-hitting outfielder was expected in Chicago next week to undergo the exam.

| I think that this is great. It will be nice to see a solid right fielder on the cubs again. I have seen a few of the youtube videos on this guy and he has a rocket arm. On what we would call an easy single to right...Fukudome threw the guy out at first...I think that he will also be handy because of his on base percentage. I just hope Lou finds the right place for him in the lineup....so we dont strand 27 base runners in a playoff series. |
