Default Diamondbacks vs Cubs @ 1:20ct

Pitching matchup
CHC: LHP Ted Lilly (2-4, 5.97 ERA)
Lilly isn't worried about his arm strength after his last outing. The lefty seems to be picking up velocity, and he has confidence he can get batters out without throwing hard. In his last start, a 9-3 win over St. Louis, Lilly went a season-high seven innings and gave up three runs on six hits. Two of those runs came on solo homers, including one by Albert Pujols. Lilly picked up his 1,000th career strikeout in the game as well. The day off Thursday will help. Lilly threw a season-high 112 pitches against the Cardinals.

ARI: RHP Dan Haren (4-1, 3.12 ERA)
Haren matched up against the Mets' Johan Santana in his last start and did not get a decision as the D-backs lost, 5-2. One of the two runs came on a 2-0 fastball to David Wright, one of the few bad pitches Haren threw in his six innings. He has pitched well in all but one start this year, getting hit hard by the Dodgers.
