Cubs vs Brewers 3-2 @ 1:20pm CT

Bad defense and no hitting drops the Cubs to 0-2. Rickie Weeks lead off the game with a home run and set the tone for the game today. After Weeks' blast, which cleared the left-field bleachers, the Brewers made it 3-0 in the fourth, when Ryan Braun doubled with one out down the left-field line and scored on Bill Hall's single. Corey Hart followed with an RBI double.

The Cubs' offense did show some life as Derrek Lee hit his first home run leading off the fourth, and rookie Geovany Soto connected on his first with one out in the seventh. Lee is ahead of last year's pace; he didn't hit his first homer in 2007 until April 25.

The Cubs play game #3 tomorrow at home with a 1:20pm start. Ryan Dempster converted back to starter will try to keep the Cubs from opening the season getting swept.
