Default Wood and Prior Salaries

Well where do I begin talking about Kerry Wood & Mark Prior. In 2006 Woods salary was $12,000,000 and Priors was $3,650,000. These two combined pitched 20 innings last year for about $782,000 an inning pitched. Both have been on the DL this year for season and earning more money again. Why cant they sacrifice themselves for the team and give back a portion of their salaries to the organization. I mean thats $15,000,000 the team could have used to pay for other players that were contributing or getting new players on the team and not just sitting at home or rehabing for an entire season. Since Prior had his surgery this year I doubt that he comes back to what he was before. I know with any injury once you injure something its never the same again. I myself had knee surgery when I was 19 and was a pretty fast runner prior to having the operation and afterwards lost a step in my get up. I just wish the organization wouldnt have to pay for injured players and thats why Iam a big advocate for Play for Pay Performance, which is simply you play , you get paid. You don't play, you don't get paid. Let me hear your thoughts on these subjects.
