The Cubs saved the best for last. Trailing 6-4, Ryan Theriot got things started with a leadoff walk against David Weathers (2-6), and Derrek Lee singled. Aramis Ramirez, who hit a walk-off homer June 29 against the Brewers, tripled into the gap in right-center to tie the game at 6.
Pinch-hitter Daryle Ward was intentionally walked, and Sam Fuld entered as a pinch-runner at third. Felix Pie replaced Ward at first.
The Reds brought outfielder Norris Hopper in so they had five infielders, and DeRosa hit a grounder that Weathers deflected with his glove. Second baseman Brandon Phillips fell trying to get the ball, and Fuld scored easily.
